This Year

Last year when I was finishing 5th grade, I thought 6th grade was going to be a difficult year. This is because I was going to be on my own now.
Actually, I found out that 6th grade was very fun. If I was responsible and looked after myself, I would do very good in it.
I thought homework was going to be hard but it turned out to be easy. I did not get that much, so I did not worry.
I thought SAISA sports were going to be easy but they turned out to be hard. Many people participated so it was hard to make the team.
Something I had no idea about but turned out to be important was copying homework in my planner. There are so many things going on in school that I need to keep track of.
August 14 was the first day of school. I remember the first experience in my classes. I was trying to give a good impression to the teachers the first day.
During August after school activities began. I participated in volleyball which was an intramural sport and I remember that the 8th graders seemed so good. I just tried to keep up with my friends.
September 18 we had class retreats. I remember that we swam and played tennis. We played a lot of group involved games.
We just finished our class trips and I was both sad and happy. Happy that I was going back home and sad that the fun was over.
We took ISA tests in October. They were frustrating at times. I just relaxed and did my best.
We have a big break in April. I plan to to just stay home and get some rest. When I am bored I'll just invite my friends over.
There are a lot of changes this year. Something I am really good is sports like basketball and soccer.
Something I am not so good at is paying attention. I am a good student but I if I do better at this, I'll do even better.
Something I would like to improve on is planning my time. I want to be able to work th
rough time wisely.
I helped someone else find their way through school. There were many new students that I helped.
Next year I am hoping that 7th grade will be very similar to 6th grade. I am looking forward to seeing what happens new kinds of things there are in 7th grade.
